The Head of a Lady!

After reading the article about Dita in Feb addition of In Style Magazine. I love her collection of lady head vases. Here are a few I have found online.

I am yet to find any in UK boot sales, but they were popular in both the US and Uk from the 50s through to the 70s.

Ranging in price with regular vases starting from £20 ($40) through to £150 ($300), the more ornate and detailed vases often modelled on popular icons such as Marilyn Monroe, Lucille Ball, and Jackie O, can fetch anything from £300 ($600) right through to £500 ($1000) plus.

  1. Have you tried ebay? They're not as common as they used to be, but I still see the occasional lady vase at antique stores or estate sales here in Kansas. My grandmother has a couple, but she collects the napkin holders that are ladies in hoop skirts and then the napkins are stuck into the skirt. Ah, the post-war era really brought about some crazy home accents!
