2011, well what a year! I would like to take this oppertunity to thank all my wonderful customers and all the talented people in the industry i have met along the way. One big thank you goes out to Emma and Sali, the Flashes and Lashes duo. Thank you for your continued support and friendship! Big hugs!
You might remember the birthday gift i bought for myself, after spending a week on the South coast with my family for Christmas. My packages were waiting for me upon my return. And boy does it make a difference when pretties are packed pretty!
I am so sorry about the lack of dressember posts. I promise i will make up for it in the new year with tones more outfit posts, so you can see how i wear these beauties!
Tights and long socks, because its freaking cold!!
Today, its my birthday! I am two days behind on my dressember posts. I went out on Friday, 16th Mr BooBoo Kitty's work Christmas do, i looked the best i have done i years... yet no photos were taken. Then on the 17th, i looked the worse i have in years, (no photos taken, thank god!)
Was a good night, had a gin and tonic or two. Caught up with some good friends, who i haven't seen in weeks. That's the thing with starting your own business, especially, whilst holding down a full time job. You miss you on allot of social activities. You neglect friends. You lose touch with people. I really miss going out. But i feel i need to make that sacrifice... for now. Next year... Things are gonna change....
Today, is my 29th Birthday. And what better way to spend it than drinking Hendricks gin, watching Monkey Business and shopping on Etsy! I just purchased the above goodies, the first three are from Vintage Envy and the confetti Lucite set is from Mastery Mixed Media. Do check out their shops.... if there is anything left after my shopping spree!
On 7th December I attended a fashion show held at the Nottingham Contemporary. The organiser, Clementine Paro brought together the finest Nottingham vintage boutiques and independent designers. I was extremely lucky and honoured to be a part of such a fantastic event.
The event was featured in the Nottingham evening post the Friday before the event. Was great to get one of my dresses featured in a news paper!
I was lucky enough to have six lovely ladies model for me. Left to right; Kay, Grace, Emma, Abbey, Sophie (Rose Desire Belle) and Maddie.
The ever so talented Lucille from Lucille's Locks styled all the models hair. Do check out her facebook page and her blog. Fantastic styling from an extremely stylish lady.
My girls were lucky enough to wear some vintage jewellery from Eden Bea Vintage. A stunning collection of hand picked hand bags and costume jewellery from the 20s to the 70s. I had the chance to have a good chat to Jane, who is a lovely lady. She puts on jewellery parties. I cant think of a better afternoon to spend with my girlies, glass of wine or two looking at stunning jewellery!
I had a little stall on the night, most of the time it was manned by Mr BooBoo Kitty. (it does look like i constantly had a glass of wine in my hand the whole night, i swear it was the same one in every picture, honest!)
My beautiful girls nervously waiting to go on the catwalk. It was quite nerve racking, but in a good way. There were lots of people there and the catwalk was very big. But they all did a fantastic job, so a big thank you girlies :)
